SPIN SUGAR | Play Vinyl + Share Story adalah perhelatan kreatif berbasis komunitas yang merayakan kecintaan terhadap musik, khususnya dalam format rilisan fisik seperti piringan hitam, CD dan kaset.⁣

Kita akan belajar dan ngobrol-ngobrol bareng bersama SPIN SUGAR (Ridwan Rudianto, Andhika Gautama, Marlowe Bandem) sputar dunia DJ-ing⁣

Materi yang akan dibawakan:⁣
Perkenalan tentang konsep dan bentuk seni dari DJ, perkenalan alat-alat DJ (dari analog ke digital), memahami genre musik dan struktur sebuah lagu juga teori dasar Musik dan bagaimana mengatur/mengkatagorikan koleksi musik. Memahami A to B to A mixing, mempelajari beatmatching, juga Back to back mixing.⁣

In a world that is becoming more isolating and more divisive, a salon is a exercise in togetherness. There is so much untapped human capacity and creativity all around us. A salon can be a vessel for giving participants an expression in a community, and for contributing to the emergence of a more whole understanding of the challenges we face.

The artist salon dates back to Socrates and Plato, to the women in France who hosted salons beginning in the 17th century, to our contemporary ways of meeting. There are examples across our cultures—it seems to be in human nature to seek connection, to want to talk things over and discover meaning.

This Salon will be a hosted conversation lead and mediated by Amber Cronin Tom Borgas and Ninus, and fuelled by your ideas.

Salons offer space for authentic exploration, the co-mingling of ideas, and the development of new thinking. They contain elements of an intellectual drawing room and the public square, but more importantly they have been designed to hold a respectful and reflective space and process that are both safe and intensely alive. Salons foster an environment where we can dig deep, take the time to ask questions that often sit on the margins of our awareness, and listen appreciatively to each other and to ourselves.
