In 2016, artists from The Mill came to Bali to collaborate with Rumah Sanur – Creative Hub artist, Adhika Annissa on the creative development for a new, immersive work incorporating contemporary dance, sound, text & installations. People at Rumah Sanur and members of the community heard from Australian & Indonesian contemporary artists on this exciting new work & the ongoing collaboration between these two countries.
Recently in 2017, artists from The Mill came to Bali to participate in a multi-disciplinary workshop series to encourage community participation in the arts. At Rumah Sanur, Amber Cronin and Tom Borgas led a Dancing Line Workshop attended by local artists, designers and dancers. The workshop was cross collaborative, encouraging people to explore the intersection of dance and drawing as a medium. The Mill visit was supported by Arts South Australia.
