Bringing quality, curated products from Indonesia made by SMEs and young designers to a reputable trade show is a challenge. It was a great opportunity for to-ko Concept Store to attend the 41st BIG+BIH, Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair – April 19-23, 2016. We had a chance to introduce our partnerships with producers, which are SMEs and young designers as part of our program to support quality local brands.
BIG+BIH is one of ASEAN’s leading international trade fairs for trendy gifts and lifestyle products. It is recognised as Thailand’s leading platform for designers and new entrepreneurs to showcase their latest collections which organised by Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government Office Fashion and Lifestyle Business.
Indonesia has 6 representatives in this event, they were to~ko Concept Store, Spectacular Indonesia (East Java), Lolitattoo (Jakarta), Kemayu Batik (Thailand), KetutPutra (SIlver Bali), Naputo Bali (Leather Bali), Natural Stone (East Java).
to~ko Concept Store together with BEDO (Business & Export Development Organization) had the great honour of promoting our partners’ products, expanding our markets and meeting potential buyers from all over the world during trade days. The five-day trade show exceeded our expectations, and our products were well received and some picked-up through business deals. We chose 25 partners who categorised in crafts, hobbies, home décor, and collectible items to be displayed in our booth. Most visitors who came to our booth were from Thailand and other Asia countries such as Japan, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. They were really enthusiast and appreciate our well crafted and unique products.
We were grateful that we could join this event, have the opportunity to look around and see what other countries are doing, especially Asia and their development on craft industries. Hopefully we’ll join this event regularly and other trade fairs.
